HOW LONG WILL YOU HAVE MY CAR?
The average transit time for cross country delivery (i.e. New York to California) is approximately 7-10 days from the date of pick up. Delivery time for central/coastal transport (i.e. Illinois to New York) is approximately 4-7 days from the date of pick up. As each move is as individual as the customer, it is best to speak with one of our transportation specialists at 888-772-0249 to determine a more definitive transit time.TOP

HOW CAN I CHECK MY STATUS?
You may check your order status by entering your order number (including dashes and letters). You may also contact our office at 888-772-0249, please have your order number available, anyone in the office may assist you.TOP

IS MY VEHICLE INSURED?
Each vehicle is insured up to $50,000, against any type of damage due to driver neglect or accident. Each carrier is required to carry a minimum of $750,000 liability insurance, with no deductible to the customer. In the event that a vehicle is damaged in transit, BT Auto Transport personnel will initiate the damage claim upon receipt of the necessary information.TOP

WHAT DO I DO IF MY VEHICLE IS DAMAGED?
If your vehicle is damaged during transport, you will need to mark any and all damages on the delivery inspection report. You will then contact our office and speak with a claims agent, who will provide you with any necessary information, and will initiate the damage claim with the carrier's insurance company.TOP

DO I NEED TO TAKE OFF WORK?
In most cases, the drivers assigned by BT Auto Transport are able to work around your schedule. If it is not possible for the driver to work around your schedule, you will be notified in advance by the driver. You may also choose to alter the order to a different address and or city (within 15 miles), at no additional charge by calling our office at 888-772-0249.TOP

HOW DOES DOOR TO DOOR SERVICE WORK?
BT Auto Transport will schedule a driver to pick up and deliver vehicle(s) at an address provided by you, assuming it is safe to do so. If a driver cannot safely access the address provided, you may choose to meet the driver at any location with a large well lit parking lot in your immediate area.TOP

WHEN WILL MY VEHICLE BE PICKED UP?
BT Auto Transport will schedule a driver to pick up your vehicle as quickly as possible in accordance with your wishes. In many instances, pick up time is 3-5 days from the first date you make your vehicle available for pick up. To check the pick up window for your area, please contact our office at 888-772-0249.TOP

MAY I PACK PERSONAL BELONGINGS IN THE VEHICLE?
BT Auto Transport does allow up to 100 pounds of personal belongings per vehicle. This is roughly the weight of two large suitcases. Please note that our driver does not do an inventory of the vehicle, nor will he secure the items left in the vehicle. Any and all personal items left in the vehicle are shipped at your own risk.TOP

DO I HAVE TO BE THERE FOR PICK UP AND/OR DELIVERY?

If you are not available, you may designate a friend or relative as the contact at either pick up or delivery. Although BT Auto Transport does not require you to be there for the pick up or delivery of your vehicle, we do strongly recommend it for your own protection. The initial and final inspection reports of the vehicle are required for insurance purposes, therefore if you choose to have the vehicle delivered with no signatures, you are waiving the right to insurance for any minor damages (that are not obviously caused due to driver negligence/accident). BT Auto Transport may also help you arrange for delivery to a storage facility in your area at your expense. Any storage fees must be paid when you pick up your vehicle. BT Auto Transport and its carrier's are not associated with any storage facility and cannot be responsible for your vehicle after delivery.TOP

WILL YOU DRIVE MY VEHICLE?
It is necessary for the carrier to drive your vehicle for loading and unloading purposes only. The vehicle may be unloaded and reloaded during the trip dependant upon its location on the truck. If you are meeting the driver at a location other than the address you have provided and are unable to arrange for transport back to your home, the carrier may drive your vehicle at your request.TOP

DOES MY VEHICLE STAY ON THE SAME TRUCK?
Your vehicle stays with the same truck and driver for the duration of the transport in most cases. The only causes for transfer to a new truck and driver are mechanical break down that cannot be repaired in a matter of days, and extreme illness to the original driver. If either of these instances were to occur, you would be contacted prior to the vehicle being rescheduled with another carrier.TOP

HOW DO I GET MY CAR READY FOR TRANSPORT?
You will need to have ¼ to ½ tank of fuel in the vehicle. The vehicle should be recently washed in order to do a thorough inspection of the vehicle. Any non-factory luggage racks or ground effects should be removed prior to transport. Any personal belongings left in the vehicle should be secured.TOP


HOW CAN I PAY?
We accept payment by any major credit card, Pay Pal, or personal check for the initial deposit. The balance may be paid by cash, cashiers check, money order, or company check.TOP
